Tumblin and Tumblin

I feel like girls these days do not think about the long run.

A lot of girls I know always tell me about their unhappy relationships and how their boyfriends are jerks. As much as they hate to admit it, it is because they started dating for the wrong reasons. They start dating because they think the guy is cute, the guy has style, the guy is popular, the guys got “swag”, et cetera. I don’t know if it’s because the world’s become shallow or I’m just around shallow people because I see this a lot.

Take the time to really reflect on how things might be in the future with the person you’re with. Don’t base it on how happy you are at this moment because things can change. It doesn’t matter how cute or how “swaggin” he is because those alone will not make someone happy forever.

I like to see things in the long run. I think about whether the girl will be successful or not. I think about whether I can be able to provide the life the girl needs. I think about if we can always work things out.

I know it’s too soon to think about marriage, but if you’re going to claim taht you’ll always love someone forever, think that far. How can you say “always and forever” and other things like that if you haven’t even thought that far?
